    commented: It is a song coming from the heart of the oppressed Bulgarians during the Ottoman Empire domination on Balkan region. It is also one of the best Bulgarian song written for "gadulka" which strings add to the deep sorrow of the song. Levski used to sing this song when wandering alone in the mountains of the region.
